TDC Walk 2 Vote Challenge

TDC Walk 2 Vote Challenge

Join the Movement!!!

The Democracy Commitment is proud to partner with Walk2Vote to present TDC member institutions with a unique opportunity to civically engage community college students with their communities and neighborhoods.

Walk 2 Vote is a student created civic engagement initiative that has grown from a local campus program to a national model for student civic organizing. Student leaders from the University of Houston Downtown began the Walk2Vote initiative in 2012 and have continued it annually. Their model is a guide that walks students through the process of planning their own civic engagement program on their campus.

With TDC Walk 2 Vote Challenge, students become the social capitol of their communities by engaging not only campus communities, but their neighbors and neighborhoods in voter registration and education culminating in leading their communities to the polls on election day.
